FAQ

FAQ:
Q. How was Vampure developed?
A. Vampure’s creators, writers and actors Mary Ann and LJ, have always wanted to write a holiday-themed show since attending school together at Eugene Lang College. As avid fans of True Blood, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Twilight, Vampires seemed the natural fit for a theme. They worked with a group of actors utilizing sketch-comedy improvisational techniques learned from their time with Anna Foss Wilson and Rachel Murdy to create the characters and story.
Q. Is the show just for Halloween or Christmas?
A. Last year we did two different version of the show, one for each holiday. This year we’ve worked both themes in to the script for one cohesive show.
Q. Can you drink during the show?
A. There will be drinks served pre and post show. We have a delicious selection of beer and wine, including specialty sangria. It is the perfect event to kick off a fun-filled Saturday night.
Q. Is this show scary?
A. We recommend this show for adults only, as it is a late night performance, with adult language and themes.
Q. What time does the house open?
A. Around 10:30. Depending on the week, there will be an 8 pm show of whatever else is booked in the Richmond Shepard Theatre. So, the cast and crew of Vampure will be setting up shop in the blink of an eye, with the goal being ready for audience by 10:30.
Q. What time does the show end?
A. Around midnight.
Q. Will the Vampires bite?
A. If you want them too.
